Clock Chaos Tournament

This clock... is worth millions.

Returning in 2012, Clock Chaos is the signature warm up event for the Midwest Gaming Classic! A new concept in tournaments, Clock Chaos has been created to provide pros and new players alike an awesome pinball tournament to participate in for a few hours on Friday night.

If you want to participate in this tournament, you must register and pay to enter Clock Chaos before registration ends. For more information regarding the Clock Chaos tournament, read on!

How It Works

Time is a one-way street... except in the Twilight Zone.

Clock Chaos focuses on players being able to play well on multiple machines from all eras when combined against other players. Players are assigned a start time and will then make an attempt on the games that have been selected for the tournament. All players will play until qualifying is done at approximately midnight. At that time, all players scores will be compared.

The number of games involved in Clock Chaos will not be revealed until the start of the tournament to ensure all tournament equipment is ready for the tournament, however at least one EM, one solid state pre DMD and one DMD era machine will be present in a line up of at least five machines.

The top 12 qualifiers will be announced at the Brookfield Sheraton Bistro Bar by the MGKaraoke DJ and invited back to compete in the "13th Hour" at midnight. Rankings will also be available online at the Midwest Gaming Classic web site at this same time. For the 13th hour, the top 12 players get one final chance that will either haunt them forever... or put them on the top of the rankings! Starting with the 12th ranked player, each player gets to make the choice to replay one of their entries. If the player's replay improves their score, the player gets ranked with the new score. If not, the player gets ranked with their original score.

What You Can Win

The stakes are higher... in the Twilight Zone.

The top 12 players will get ranked by five minute intervals on the clock, and get a guaranteed dollar amount equal to where that minute hand is, as well as their share of the extended prize pool. All of the 12 winners will also receive a certificate with their placement in the tournament. On top of all of this, all Clock Chaos players will be eligible for WPPR points! A full listing of the prizes is as follows:

  • 12th place (5 Minute Position) - Certificate, $5 cash and 5% of extended prize pool
  • 11th place (10 Minute Position) - Certificate, $10 cash and 5% of extended prize pool
  • 10th place (15 Minute Position) - Certificate, $15 cash and 7.5% of extended prize pool
  • 9th place (20 Minute Position) - Certificate, $20 cash and 7.5% of extended prize pool
