Bring Arcades to the Show!

Bring Arcade Video / Pinball Machines

The Midwest Gaming Classic is an excellent place to bring your arcade video and pinball machines to sell, and it is also a great place if you want to show off your great games to other collectors! Unlike auctions where you have to pay to enter each piece and you don't have any idea what you will receive for your game, there is no cost to selling your machines and you set your own prices at the Midwest Gaming Classic... and if that isn't enough, we'll actually pay you with our great reward_plan and throw you a party! Please make sure to read through the rules below to see exactly how to bring your machines.

Rules for Bringing Machines

There are a few rules that we expect all sellers of arcade video and pinball machines to follow:

  • Any machine which is for sale must be turned on and available for play for free to all event goers during the event until the game has sold.
  • Machine space for more than three games must be reserved to qualify for rewards.  However, no matter how many machines you are bringing, please inform us so that we can ensure space is ready.
  • When a machine is sold, it may be removed immediately. This will not count against your quantity of machines rewards, however any additional individual machine rewards unclaimed on that machine at that time will be lost.  Of course, we do encourage buyers to leave their machines on for people to play, and then the rewards remain in tact for the new owner!
  • The Midwest Gaming Classic organizers, affiliates, volunteers and the Brookfield Sheraton are not responsible for any damage that could result from loading, unloading or moving of any machine, or responsible for any damage that happens while the machine is at the event.
  • Machines are to be set up during the set up times, as outlined below.
  • All machines must be registered, regardless of any circumstances surrounding the machine.  All machines must have a small identification sticker placed somewhere on the machine to allow Midwest Gaming Classic representatives to be able to identify it.
  • MAME, Multi-Game or similar arcade machines must be approved by us prior to arriving at the show. If you have a machine like this, please use our contact form to tell us what games the machine holds so we can confirm that it is a legal game. If there is any question about the legality of any games included on your machine, we cannot permit it on our show floor, regardless of if it is for sale or not.

Machine Set Up

To set up your machines at the Midwest Gaming Classic, please bring them to the Brookfield Sheraton on either Friday from 4pm until 11pm, or Saturday from 8am until 10am.

Friday arrivals should check in at the hotel desk before bringing in any machines and ask where the current Midwest Gaming Classic arcade machine set up person is, and the hotel staff will either direct you to where to sign in, or a Midwest Gaming Classic representative will meet you.

Saturday arrivals should check with the Midwest Gaming Classic representative at the door of the arcade hall for instructions.

Registering Your Game

Upon arriving, each game will need to be registered.  Registration is required for every arcade machine placed at the Midwest Gaming Classic. We are currently working on updating our registration system and final details will be announced soon.  The following details will remain central to our registraiton system however:

  • Registration will consist of information on the machine from the Midwest Gaming Classic, a sticker which must be affixed to your game in a visible position to identify it, and a machine ownership card to be held by the owner of the machine.
  • To remove a game from the show floor, the owner of the machine must either present the ownership card or their photo ID to a Midwest Gaming Classic representative.
  • If the owner of the machine sells a machine, they may sign the card and give it to the new owner so that they can remove it from the show floor.
  • Machine rewards will be redeemable by way of special punches on the registration cards.  If the owner of the machine misplaces the machine reward card, the Midwest Gaming Classic will not be able to replace the rewards contained within that card.  In other words, keep these cards safe and treat them like cash!
  • Sold machines may immediately leave the show floor, however if a machine is removed before Sunday at 4pm, no additional rewards will be given for that title. This does not apply to the quantity machine rewards noted below.

If you have any questions or would like to contact us, please visit our contact page.

Rewards

On top of the great exposure and bragging rights that you will get just for bringing a game to the Midwest Gaming Classic, we'll also give you lots of thanks for taking the time to bring them out!  These machine rewards apply to every arcade machine which comes to the event as playable, is set up for free play and is on the show floor at 4pm on Sunday.

For every machine you bring, the machine's owner will receive either a two day event pass, $20.00 in show cash, or a one day pass and $5.00 in show cash*.  There will be an option to claim Show Cash at the Arcade After Party on Saturday night, or after noon on Sunday at the Event Registration and Information Desk.

There is no limit to how much Show Cash you can earn!  On top of that, the Midwest Gaming Classic has some great multiple machine rewards to help thank people for bringing multiple machines to the show!  Based on how many machines you bring, you will receive the following rewards at the end of the show:

MachinesEvent Rewards
2+ $10.00 Cash
5+ $20.00 Cash
10+ $40.00 Cash
15+ $60.00 Cash
20+ One night stay at the Brookfield Sheraton (standard MGC rate)**

Rewards are given at each level up to the number of machines brought.

After the 20+ level, the rewards continue to add up starting over with the 2+ level. For example, if 25 machines are brought, the owner would receive all five levels plus the 4+ level again.

This means that if you bring 20 games, you willl receive over $600 in bonuses!

Also, if you reserve space for 4 or more games, we will list you as a vendor on our web site if you so desire!  To reserve space, you must register with us and contact us prior to the show.  A nominal fee applies for reservation of space which is completely refundable upon arriving at the Midwest Gaming Classic with your games.

Pynball.com MGC Buy / Sell Spreadsheet

Are you all set to bring your game or games?  If it's for sale, you may want to list it on the Pynball.com Midwest Gaming Classic Buy / Sell Spreadsheet.  This spreadsheet allows you to advertise what games you are bringing before the show, and allows others who are coming to the show to make specific requests...  so you can think about bringing and selling games that maybe you otherwise wouldn't have!

The Pynball.com MGC Buy / Sell Spreadsheet is free to sign up for, just like everything on Pynball.com.  Registration only takes a few seconds, and after registering you can also use the regular Pynball.com listings to list machines or parts all the time!  The site is a great resource for new collectors or long time pros, and we are excited to partner with them to have created this new resource for the Midwest Gaming Classic!

* Show Cash is money that can be used at the Midwest Gaming Classic at any vendor in the main vending hall to purchase arcade video or pinball parts.

** Standard MGC room rate is the price of a single night with the MGC discount.  To receive this reward, the person staying at the hotel must present proof that he or she stayed at the hotel to receive this award.  This does not include any further amenities or additions.
