Arcade Legend Eugene Jarvis to Speak

03/08/2010 • Category: General

Eugene Jarvis is a name which needs no introduction amongst most electronic gaming fans.  Eugene has been one of the main players in the arcade world and is the developer behind some of the most popular arcade titles from the last 30 years.  From Defender and Robotron 2084 to Cruis'n USA and Smash TV, games that Eugene worked on could be found in nearly every arcade.

That trend continues today, as Eugene Jarvis heads up Raw Thrills Inc., the arcade company behind such thrilling titles as Target: Terror, Big Buck Hunter Pro, Fast and Furious Drift, SuperBikes, Guitar Hero Arcade, and H2Overdrive. Raw Thrills' most recent release is Terminator Salvation by the Play Mechanix studio. The games that Raw Thrills have created continue to set the industry standard in earnings for operators as well as fun factor for players!

As if that resume isn't enough, Eugene Jarvis got his start in pinball. He had his hand in some of the most revoluntary pinball machines of the last 30 years, with titles such as Gorgar the first talking pinball, Firepower the first solid state mulitball game, and F-14 Tomcat; featuring his sound effects and programming work.

Eugene will be on hand to talk about his past projects, as well as talk about what it is like to run the premier arcade manufacturer in 2010.  If you have ever had a question about what it was like to truly design some of the best known arcade games of the past 30 years, you will not want to miss this special presentation!

The official speaking line up, including times and locations for each speech will be announced later this week!  Keep checking back at the Midwest Gaming Classic site for more great updates before the show kicks off on March 27th!
