MGC Reveals Entire Show Activity Line Up!
Today, the Midwest Gaming Classic is pleased to announce nearly the entire slate of activities for this year's show! Whether it is tournaments, the Classic Gaming and Computing Museum, the Events Within An Event hall, Friday Night Activities or even Sunday Family Day activities, information about what you can expect from the largest all-encompassing gaming trade show can now be found online!
"It's a testament to the people who are really the heart of the show," stated Dan Loosen. "Those people have been working on overdrive on ideas for next year's show since Sunday morning of 2011's show when I overheard people discussing how they would like to move things around differently next year. Their tireless effort has given us not just the best slate of 'At the Show' activities that we have ever announced, but also the ability to announce what we expect to have at the show months before we have been able to in the past!"
Loosen adds that this does not mean, however, that announcements for the show are done. "As always, we've got a lot more tricks up our sleeves. Keep watching the site for new and exciting announcements!"
Here are some of the highlights of the announcements that were made today:
- The Classic Gaming and Computing Museum returns with the most comprehensive home video gaming and computing museum at any show, anywhere! Travel from Pong to the PS3 with this amazing display, play rarities like the Super A'Can and common things that you love like the NES. Meet some Underdogs or challenge people in head-to-head versus play, it's all here!
- Our Events within an Event return in 2012 with more people, more events, and more fun! Check out the Retroids Podcast network as they record live shows and interact with people. Discover the Realms of fantasy gaming with the Moofcast.com. Find out about new projects for old Nintendo consoles. Play Pokemon with the Pokemon Podcast. And celebrate Mario and Luigi with Star Worlds Arcade. It's all here, and so much more!
- The Tournaments for the show have been announced, including the full pinball tournament line up for 2012, as well as many of the video game tournaments. If you want to prove that you have what it takes to challenge the other show-goers and come out on top, you have got to know about the tournaments!
- The MGC officially kicks off Saturday, but our Friday Night Events continues to grow every year! Get Clock Chaos at our unique pinball tournament, find out if you are Up To Par in a brand new video game tournament, and sing karaoke to MGC Show Goers from all over the world!
- Got kids? Family Day is Sunday, March 25th and the activities for parents and kids have never been better! With half off adult admission (just $10!), free admission for those 11 and under, and lots of special things for the whole family to participate in, Family Day is a great day to come to the Midwest Gaming Classic!
