Midwest Gaming Classic Location Announced and Tickets On Sale!

10/26/2009 • Category: General

The Midwest Gaming Classic, the largest all-encompassing electronic gaming event today officially announced that the 2010 show will be held at the Brookfield Sheraton, just minutes outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin! Along with this announcement, tickets for the March 27th and 28th show went on sale today at the Midwest Gaming Classic web site.

The show, which the organizers also bill as the trade show where electricity has fun has been held the last four years at the Olympia Resort and Spa in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Last year, the show used up every available foot of space at the Olympia, and as soon as the show ended the organizers started looking for a new location for the show that would allow all of the unique events, displays, vendors and speakers to spread out and present things in an even better manner.

"We looked into lots of different places," stated Dan Loosen, one of the organizers, "and the Brookfield Sheraton gave us everything that we were looking for and even more!"

This new location will allow the event to expand to use over 25,000 square feet of space throughout the entire hotel, and will give unique groups the opportunity to create their great displays in their own locations. Hotel rooms, which haven't gone on sale yet for the new Midwest Gaming Classic rate, are promised to be cheaper than the Olympia. The location is on Moorland road, about 15 minutes closer to the heart of Milwaukee than the Olympia was. The Brookfield Sheraton also provides guests staying at the hotel with free airport transportation. And, according to the show organizers, the best part is that it will allow them to make the show flow from room to room throughout every corner of the hotel.

Show organizer Gary Heil stated, "We actually used the Brookfield Sheraton in 2004, and it was a little difficult because we only rented two parts of the hotel that were pretty far removed from one another. This year, we'll have every single foot of space the hotel has, which allows us to link each of the halls in unique ways. This is going to be the best Midwest Gaming Classic yet!"

With the announcement of the location, the Midwest Gaming Classic site also put tickets on pre-sale for the show today. Admission for the 2010 Midwest Gaming Classic will be $20.00 for Saturday or $10.00 for Sunday, or you can purchase a special online-only two-day pass for only $25.00! This fee gets the show-goer into all of the things that the Midwest Gaming Classic is known for -- the Classic Gaming and Computing Museum, the Underdog Chamber, the Family Game Room, the free play arcade video and pinball area, the seminars and the vendors, just to name a small part of the show -- is all available with the purchase of a ticket.

Lots more announcements for the 2010 Midwest Gaming Classic are coming soon, so you'll want to sign up for the official Midwest Gaming Classic mailing list at the site to be the first to know about new things that are happening.
