Midwest Classic 2003
June 7 - Nicolet High School - Glendale, Wisconsin
For 2003, the event had outgrown the hall that the first two events were held in, and it was moved into a highschool cafeteria. The 2003 event was marked by many interesting events which occurred at the event, including the first time the show gave away an arcade machine -- a game called Ajax, the release of the independent Dreamcast game Feet of Fury, and a major expansion of the pinball content. The show drew over 200 people, more than doubling in size from 2002, and poising it for great expansion in 2004!
Highlights
Some of the Midwest Classic 2003 Highlights were:
- The event gave away its first arcade game, a 2D Konami shooter by the name of Ajax, to one lucky guest at this show
- The museum greatly expanded from just a few tables in 2001 and 2002 to an entire room in 2003
- The first independent Dreamcast release, Feet of Fury, was released at the 2003 event and the creators of the game, Cryptic Allusion, were on hand to sign copies
- The presence of pinball at the show expanded greatly, as vendors brought and set up machines and parts for sale
