Midwest Gaming Classic 2006
June 3-4 - Olympia Resort and Spa - Oconomowoc, Wisconsin
After a year hiatus, the Midwest Gaming Classic returned in 2006 to a brand new location, the Olympia Resort and Spa in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This year was an amazing year, as the show expanded to over 20,000 square feet, easily making it the largest all encompassing electronic gaming event in the Midwest! The year was marked by a lot of new events, including the first ever Midwest Pinball Championship! The event featured over 100 arcade video and pinball machines, thousands of home console games and millions of memories to the over 1600 attendees!
Highlights
Some of the Midwest Gaming Classic 2006 highlights were:
- After a year of hiatus, the event returned in 2006 and filled more than 20,000 square feet with electronic gaming goodies, making the event the Midwest's largest all-encompassing electronic gaming event
- The move to a larger location means the largest growth of the museum in one single year -- from a small room in 2004 to an entire wing of a hall in 2006
- The first ever Midwest Pinball Championship is contested, with top ranked pinball players from all over the country coming to compete
- The 'hybrid' tournament is introduced, pitting players against one another in a pinball machine and a video game to see who can get the best combined show
