Johnathan was a relative latecomer to the chess scene, having started playing at the age of 15, He has since become a class-A player, having many 1st place tournament victories over a 20-year span, meanwhile scoring numerous victories versus Experts and Masters.   Nowadays, he balances his family life with his lovely wife and 2-year old son, his graphic design and apparel business, and his on-going chess study in pursuit of his Master title.  He is also the co-founder of King's March Chess Educators, a coaching company composed of himself and a fellow Expert chessplayer, Derek Paitrick, who specialize in private, custom-tailored lessons for players of all ages.
