Talayko, Edgar

Edgar has been fascinated with the world of chess since he was young, frequently playing games with his family while dabbling in strategies and tactics on his own time. It wasn’t until he was in high school, however, where he began to turn his love for the game from a hobby into a passion, enlisting into the school's chess club. After placing 5th in state and winning a handful of various separate tournaments, Edgar aimed his passion and drive towards a new audience, becoming a children’s chess tutor in the hopes that he can inspire the upcoming generation the same way he found himself inspired by the game growing up. Now, Edgar resides in Milwaukee, where he founded the area’s largest community of players known as Milwaukee Chess, hosting tournaments and bringing aspiring newcomers into the scene on a weekly basis. He also works as a renowned chess tutor, being officially certified on Chess.com.
