Classic Gaming and Computing Museum
The Computing and Gaming Museum is one of the centerpieces of the Midwest Gaming Classic! Check out hundreds of different consoles from Pong to the PS4 and everything in between! Discover the joys of early computers, share the fun of hit games from the past, and check out the present of video games in the home! Best of all? Unlike a museum where you can just look, in the Computing and Gaming Museum, it's almost all playable too!
Cosmotrons: Make a Map
Want to be able to say you helped make an arcade game? Now you can! Stop at the Cosmotrons booth and draw a map that you think would be great for the game! The Cosmotrons team will be picking one or more maps throughout the weekend to put INTO the final version of the game as a playable level! Will it be yours?
Galloping Ghost Arcade
Galloping Ghost Arcade from Brookfield, Illinois is the LARGEST arcade in the United States, featuring more than 550 UNIQUE arcade titles! While they can't bring all of their games to the MGC (you'll have to visit them for that!), they are going to have a great selection with them, as well as do some special events throughout the show, such as hosting many of the actors from the Mortal Kombat series!
Gnome Games of Green Bay and Appleton is coming to share tons of table top and trading card games with players! Loan a game from them, buy a game from them, or just challenge others in their area! Additionally, Gnome Games will have a TON of competitive games throughout the weekend! Some of these games do have fees associated with them to cover tournament supplies such as card packs. (Note: Certain tournaments may not require event admission. See MGC Ticket Desk for details.)
Kids Cosplay Showcase
If your kids want to come in costume and just have some fun showing off what they are dressed up as, this is the perfect event for you! Bright Eyes Cosplay and some of her friends host in costume a showcase and free photo session for the kids who are in costume, and even give out some fun free swag for the kids who come! This event is held at the MGC Music stage.
KingPin Kiddie Ride Menagerie
Want to put your kids into a vehicle from a popular 80s cartoon, the back of an animal, or onto a space ship? These are just some of the options that KingPin Games will have in their KingPin Kiddie Ride Menagerie at the show! Hop on (as long as you are the correct size and / or weight) and take a ride down memory lane in this fun area! Mario's Party at Star Worlds Arcade
Its a celebration, and youre invited on the Sunday of the show! Star Worlds Arcade is hosting Mario's Party, where a couple special brothers will be making appearances and taking pictures throughout the day. Photos are taken professionally by our team in return for a donation to Troop 580 of at least $5 or more. During this session, those with Priority Picture passes will the chance to go first, any remaining time will be available for those without passes.
The Chicago-based Overdrive Reality returns to provide LIVE coverage of the MGC! Join Overdrive Reality host Matt Isbill, who also hosts Monster Jam on FOX Sports 1, along with stand-up comedian Adam Malkowski, MK2 commentator extraordinaire Mike Trinidad, movie buff Jason Cordero, and the ultimate collector Mate as they broadcast throughout the weekend Tons about what is going on at any given time! Stop by their booth in person to see the filming, meet a VIP, and maybe even get invited on the show!
Packrat Games Underdog Chamber
Packrat Video Games returns with the Underdog Chamber, an exciting area celebrating the lesser known games that never got a fair shake! Play Quake on a HUGE Apple iMac LAN and a Steel Battalion LAN for the original Xbox! They also have tons of great - and new - games for the lesser known systems like the Magnavox Odyssey 2, Atari 2600 and Vectrex! Get ready to experience something different than what you remember in the Underdog Chamber!
Star Worlds Arcade
Star Worlds Arcade of DeKalb, Illinois is bringing the fun of their arcade that has been in continuous operation for more than 30 years to the MGC! Featuring music games, classic arcade titles, and a room that looks like no other at the MGC, you need to stop here! Additionally, Star Worlds Arcade features crafting projects for kids of all ages to share!
Super Smash Bros Amiibo Brawl
This exhibition brawl is all about meeting new friends and getting to try your Amiibo against them! A random chance determines what effects and items will be in play, matches will 8 way rounds with no points or rewards... Just one big free for all! The time for this will be extended if people keep wanting to play! This is held in the Video Presentations area.
Time Machine DeLorean
Wait a minute Doc, are you trying to tell me Matt Hissem built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?! The way we see it, if you're going to be at the Midwest Gaming Classic, you might as well do it with some style... as this incredible DeLorean is going to be on the show floor! Great Scott!
