Herman, Leonard

Leonard is regarded as one of the earliest video game historians. The first edition of his book, Phoenix: The Fall & Rise of Home Video Games, was published in 1994 and is considered to be the first comprehensive book about the history of video games. Since then, he has written articles for dozens of books and magazines including his book ABC To the VCS (A Directory of Software for the Atari 2600), a compendium of game summaries.
