Brick Battle Royale

First, build your mini-figure fighter Then pick a partner from Giant Chicken to skeleton mob. Then build a base out of blocks
Finally, duke it out to be the winner. (Rules are a simple homebrew system for all ages up to 8 players)

These sessions can be 30 minutes if you're short on time, or extended to longer if all the players are up for it.
