Events within an Event

Many collectors of unique and exciting aspects in electronic gaming like to call the Midwest Gaming Classic home when it comes to showing their favorite stuff to others.  These collectors, communities and creators come to the show focused on letting others know about the unique role that they play in the world of electronic gaming collecting.  Whether it is creating something entirely new for a system that may be relatively forgotten, or just enjoying some of the most popular games, these unique insights form the basis for special "Events within an Event" at the Midwest Gaming Classic.

Events within an Event are an important part of the Midwest Gaming Classic -- the show was founded originally as a celebration of the Atari Jaguar, and this specific focus has been the basis of one of our annual Events within an Event.  The goal is to try to make each experience something that would be worthy of its own event outside of the Midwest Gaming Classic, and then incorporate them all into the overall theme of the show.

In 2010, the Midwest Gaming Classic will host the following Events within an Event:

The benheck.com Experience

Hacker extraordinaire Ben Heckendorn has been a staple of the Midwest Gaming Classic since the beginning, and this year he along with his forums commuinty will be hosting an area dedicated to creating incredible portable versions of systems that were never intended to be portable to begin with! Stop by to see the new ideas, hear presentations and to get a peek into what it is like to do console modification like Ben himself!

The Underdog Chamber

Want to see the most awesome stuff that you probably missed? The Underdog Chamber features the consoles that didn't win the eras that they were from, but still had some really fun stuff on them. Whether it is consoles or computers playing well known games on unknown platforms, or unknown games on unknown platforms, this is one of the most fascinating and fun displays at the Midwest gaming Classic!

WiFi Play Area

Are you ready to take on others in some awesome Nintendo DS action at the Midwest Gaming Classic? Then you'll want to stop by the WiFi Play Area at the Midwest Gaming Classic and take on friends and foes with some of the most popular DS titles! Check out the list of planned games, or bring your own to suggest to other players!
